WORKING WITH CHILDREN AND FAMILIES TO RAISE ASPIRATIONS
These are times of great change and transformation within our educational environment. Schools and childcare establishments are faced with new and evolving challenges in providing the very best services to children and also their families.
Chief amongst these challenges, are how best to meet the needs of our most vulnerable and challenging children, young people and families. All schools will have children who’s social, emotional, mental or health needs impact on their educational progress, and these needs are becoming harder and more complex to manage. Schools are faced with a number of competing priorities, and leaders have difficult choices to make when thinking about how to maximise the achievement of children and young people in their school. This, coupled with a reduction in Local Authority services that can meet the 21st century needs of educational establishments and children, can create frustration and a feeling of isolation.
It is therefore imperative that within this climate, schools and leaders feel supported, and their individual needs acknowledged.
It is in this spirit that ASPIRE North West are thrilled to launch its new social enterprise working with the 21st century needs of schools with children and young people displaying challenging behaviour. This service will enable schools to access high quality services designed with experience and research, specifically to meet the demands of the new reality.
ASPIRE North West is uniquely designed to work with schools to support ALL children displaying challenging behaviour. This will include social, emotional and mental health difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, learning difficulties, and speech, language and communication difficulties.
Our ethos in the holistic management of challenging behaviour, is in synergy with the hundreds of schools leaders expressing the need for support that is flexible, value for money and has a common sense approach. We will work with families and children without prejudice to the root cause, and our CAMHS supported service will ensure a seamless approach. We hope you agree!
